October Accident

You were the hopeless part of fall
growing colder by the day, no feeling left at all
slumber sleeping has become a trend
midnight to the afternoon, sunrise to the end

look close, to see right through me
your eyes never fail to consume me
I wish you were blind

you were the one thing that kept me on my feet

the worst part of ever being me
analyzing every thought, dissecting everything
I know one last drink would drown me
swallow all my pride and let this pain consume me

the sirens and the lights flood my town tonight
"good god! I won't breathe again if I know this air is cold tonight!"

she said "we haven't scratched the surface just yet, not quite yet"

so tip the hourglass
let it spill so fast that my blood turns into glue
