The banners of the King advance;Vexilla Regis prodeunt;
The mystery of the Cross shines forth,Fulget Crucis mysterium,
[On which the Creator of flesh,[Quo carne carnis conditor
Hung by the crossbeam, was suspended.]Suspensus est patibulo.]

With pierced hands and feetConfixa clavis viscera
And side, bearing the marks,Tendens manus, vestigia,
By the grace of redemptionRedemptionis gratia
