Between Your Fingers

You came like a shadow in the dark
At first it almost felt harmless
Something strange, almost funny
Before I knew it, you were inside me
Your smile was hiding something cruel
While I walked closer to my own ruin
And when I finally realized
Your hand was already inside my chest

I fell
Without understanding what you did to me

You ripped my heart out
And laughed while I was bleeding on the floor
You looked at me confused
Like you had done nothing at all
My heart was still beating between your fingers
While the blood poured out of the hole in my chest

And I died there, trying to catch my breath

My blood kept running through your hands
Mixing with the silence in the dark

Everything became distant and cold
