Mirkwood

There is a smell upon the air
Sweet as the honey in my lair
Forest of trees, I come to thee
I claim to be the first to see
There are spiders in their webs
Who seek riders and its flesh

Bridge, destiny, river, misery
Guests don't come to elven's dome
And do not steal from Thranduil
Halls are prisons, pass of seasons
And we all sleep held on the forest

In the depths of the Mirkwood
Elves dance on the night
A shadow over Dol Guldur
It's hidden from the light
Down on the forest
Lost in the trees

Rhovanion I've heard them call it
Within the mountains where we split
This mystical land, a darkened brand
We shall stay, no words to say
The waters and a long-gone blizzard
Radagast, the brown wizard

Spirits he shapes, beasts he tames
Not that far I see a star
It's Erebor in my thoughts
But I stood in Mirkood
And we all sleep held on the forest
