Vi una película justo el otro día.I saw a movie just the other day.
Y me imaginé como la estrella y tú eras mi hermosa contraparte.And I imagined I was the star and you were my beautiful counter-part.
Y fue tan emocionante.And it was so exciting.
Y teníamos todo ese dinero.And we had all that money.
Me gustó la escena de la persecución en auto, pero podría prescindir de la violencia y las armas.I liked the scene about the car chase but I could do without the violence and the guns.
Pero la parte que simplemente no entiendo es cuando tuviste que dejarme.But the part I just don't understand was when you had to leave me.
¿Por qué lo hiciste?Why did you do it?
Pensé que las cosas iban tan bien.I thought that things were going so good.
Me hizo hundirme en mi asiento.It made me sink down in my seat.
Y sentí refresco de ayer pegado en mis pies.And I felt day old soda sticking to my feet.
Y mi palomitas sabían saladas y mi regaliz estaba rancia. La película empezó a aburrirme y solo me senté y lloré.And my popcorn tasted salty and my licorice was stale. The movie started to get boring and I just sat and cried.
Luego volviste a mi vida.Then you came back in my life.
Y juraste que nunca me dejarías.And you swore you'd never leave me.
Y los créditos empezaron a rodar.And the credits started rolling.
Salí afuera y estaba soleado.I went outside and it was sunny.
Y mi buzón no estaba vacío.And my mailbox wasn't empty.
